The issue of Shortlist (published 11 July 2012) was 'wrapped' in a high profile full-colour four page special featuring King of Shaves and James Ellington – helping to raise awareness of the brand.

We also 'took over' the grooming section of shortlist.com for a week as part of the mini-campaign featuring images taken by renowned photographer David Clerihew. And to ice the cake, we ran a full page mono advert in The Metro (published 12 July 2012).

James Ellington, the "eBay sprinter" qualified for Team GB on Sunday 24 June 2012 at the UK Athletics Aviva 2012 Trials held in Birmingham.

James finished first in his 200m heat with a time of 21.01 seconds but then ran a blinding final, coming first again with a blistering time of 20.56. Congratulations James, we look forward to seeing you compete in London this summer!

James Ellington, the British Olympic hopeful who was forced to seek a sponsorship deal via eBay, has today (17 January 2012) announced he has secured the backing of British shaving brand, King of Shaves.

King of Shaves founder and CEO Will King tweeted James directly, telling him to get in touch should the Ebay deal fall-through. James discovered that his top eBay bidder wasn’t genuine and Will did the rest to secure the primary sponsorship of this top athlete.
