They're here to shave the world! In 2003, the King of Shaves’ UK ShaveSquad, toured the country with a specially designed rig offering free shaves in an extensive awareness and product trial campaign.

In addition to free shaves, The ShaveSquad handed out King of Shaves samples and Everyman literature, along with grooming advice and tips on how to check for testicular cancer. The ShaveSquad actively collected donations for the Everyman campaign from members of the public who had a shave or visited the experience centre.

The ShaveSquad were at the following events:

The Big Shave – 6th June 2003
The ShaveSquad's first public outing was at The Big Shave in London's Broadgate Centre. The event played an integral part in promoting Everyman’s Male Cancer Awareness month (June 2003). From 7.30am until the end of the day, the ShaveSquad encouraged local city businessmen and workers to shave to save lives of men suffering from male cancers.

A variety of celebrities attended including comedian Rory McGrath and model Lisa B to demonstrate their support for the cause and ensure that it was a truly ‘big’ shave.

British Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP) - 11th-13th July 2003
For the sixteenth consecutive year, the British round of the MotoGP (the UK's premier motorcycle racing event) was held at the major international Grand Prix track - Donington Park; one of the busiest and foremost racing facilities in Europe. After a dramatic race the action continued behind closed doors as Valentino Rossi was docked 10 seconds for overtaking under yellow flags and victory at the Cinzano British Grand Prix was handed to Max Biaggi.

Previous to the post-race drama a sell-out crowd of 72,000 fans had enjoyed excellent weather and an exhibition of top class MotoGP action. And those lucky enough to visit the ShaveSquad (who were in attendance all weekend) would have enjoyed some top class 'smooth' action as well!
