Vicky Peters Trophy
The Cockshoot Cup competitors had to share the track with the Scottish XR2 Championship at Croft but a split grid and 30 seconds delay kept most (but not all) of the two races apart, with hard battling Andy Storer and Mike Peters lapping all.

The second round of the Cockshoot Cup for 2007 was contested under blue skies on the Oulton Park International Circuit. Mike Peters back in his King Of Shaves MG Midget took a pole position by four seconds and converted into a comfortable race win.

Not usually known for great starts Mike beat everyone off the line and had a clear lead by the first corner. This left the rest of the field to battle it out amongst themselves and gave Mike a clear track. He took full advantage and on completion of the first lap had a massive twelve second lead. This he continued to build on, and it gave him the opportunity to pick his places to pass the back markers when lapping them.

Mike has now won the Vicky Peters Trophy the four times it has been raced for, and was delighted and surprised to receive the winning garland from wife Jane.

Behind Mike there was a race long struggle between Peter Bramble in his MGB and Ian Whitt in his red Midget. The two swapped places several times, but Peter was ahead at the flag. Paul Newton took fourth place in the race and victory in Class A to lead the Championship. Ian Wright finished second in class with Richard Sapcote holding off Peter Croft for third. Paul broke his own lap record by half a second. Class F was won by Helen Waddington. Mike Peters, Paul Newton and Helen Waddington won the Vicky Peters glass trophies for their class wins.
